She has letter from old school saying her contract with that school will finish on Aug 21st.

Her passport was stolen, the old passport had a non B visa that expired Oct 31.

Because she didnt have a passport she could not do her 90 reporting on June 4, but immigration said it was ok.

She got new passport and went to immigration. She showed immigration the letter from old school saying she is hired till aug 21.

Immigration stamped her new passport that she can stay till Oct 31

She is now working in new school, she actually started with them 2 weeks ago. And they say she should go to Laos tomorrow and get a new non B.

But immigration now have her letter of work termination from the old school. She is scared the border will want to see it.

So she wonders what to do. Does she need to go to Chonburi (far) to get the letter back in order to successfully cross border and get a new non B? And should it be done before August 21?

Thank you for any help.

I do not think they will give it back but can ask for some kind of letter to let her out of the country or may be ask for another letter from the old school

She needs to return to immigration on the 21st and have her extension canceled and then cross border to get a new visa. She needs to apply for a new extension so should do it by the book. Also border could turn her around if they see no re-entry permit and she has a valid extension.

Nothing to worry, I had the same problem last year. Immigration do not ask about anything at the border or at the airport. They don't care if you have a re-entry stamp or not.

Even if the visa is until Oct 21, she can exit the country anytime and come in with a fresh visa from anywhere.

People have reported to being asked and subsequently told to go back to their immirgation office to properly cancel the permission to stay.

It isn't always checked, but sometimes it is.

Plus this person needs to use current office for extensions in the future so would be best to obey the rules they set and apparently the paperwork has already been presented to office of employment ending.

I was once one of those people, they refused to let me out without a stamp from immigration or a letter from school. NongKai border crossing.

After everything was sorted and stamp was done at immigration, they charged me overstay as welllaugh.png
