Random Q about luncheon meat

Random question I know but thought I would ask here. I bought some luncheon meat slices from a 7/11 last night and I could have sworn the cashier was trying to indicate if I wanted them microwaved or heated or something. Was a little confusing so I just said no. Does this sound normal or was he asking me something else?
