wine connection menu, how's the food?

Featured Replies

I see the Promenada location has a full menu, looking for some reviews.

Good looking menu with poor execution.

Mates down south all say WC is good. Not great, good.

Started off well, then went downhill as regards portion size and taste.

Good looking menu with poor execution.

Agree. An impressive western standard menu, cooked and served to a traditional Thai standard.

Once in Phuket Wine con, the 4 of us ordered steaks of different cuts or of different types. When my boss's plate was served it was braught over and basically dumped on the end of our table. He asked "Who's is that? How can we know who's it is when you don't say anything, just dump it at the other end of the table?" The waiter just looked at him with a blank stare then smiled and walked away.blink.png To this response Mike asked to see the manager. We left the plate over at the other end of the table and explained what happened. His reply was something along the lines of "This is Thailand..."facepalm.gif

The service charge came to about 600฿...

Menu looks good, prices mid range. Food bland, service indifferent. I won't be going back.

There is no way it could be any good. I saw the chef (or one of them) come out and he appeared to be a 19 y/o Burmese kid.

Had a bottle of wine there and a pizza,

Wine good, 790 baht for a Bordeaux.

Service, Thai (dont expect to much) then it's good.

Pizza was ok after adding a lot of pepper and herbs for flavour.

Will go back, I like the setting.
