Road Racers intercepted by Police in Central Pattaya

PATTAYA:In the early hours of Sunday Police received information of two vehicles that were racing each other on the Sukhukvit Road in Central Pattaya.

A number of Police vehicles were sent to the location to intercept the vehicles. One of them turned onto Highway 7 and sped-off towards Bangkok avoiding capture by Police.

The other vehicle, a modified Nissan Cefiro, was stopped on the Sukhumvit Road in Central Pattaya. Officers checked the vehicle and spoke with its driver, named as Khun Keedar aged 23, who denied allegations of racing. A female passenger in the car went further and threatened to sue the Police for wrongful detention and journalists for an invasion of privacy.

Un-phased by these threats, the Police continued their investigations and journalists continued to record the incident.

Considering Thai driving standards this could be a race to the end, literally!

The BIB should take action on the Threpasit Road while nighttime. So many stupid racers there....

I havenever seen anyone go over 50kph on Sukhumvit. Maybe the kid hit 60?

I have to doubt that you have ever seen Sukhumvit at all then.
