anyone noticed the electric bill reading and in turn the final payment date is getting earlier every month?

just had a bill that was read today (21st) that last August was read on the 28th

then i had until 7th of the following month to pay

now i have to pay before the 31st of this month

if it gets any earlier we will be pre-paying rather than post paying

its not got any cheaper either, you would have thought that if it was read a day earlier than the previous months reading then it should have one days less consumption on it

is it me?

Just checked my bills:

Reading usually made 17 or 18 of the month.

Payment taken on my account the 11th of next month.

No change for me.

Just checked mine too as it arrived today. The reading was done two days earlier and therefore payments are due two days earlier than last year , so not much of a change.

Our bill is always on the 18th and regular as clockwork. Only time it changes is if the 18th falls on a Sunday, in which case the meter is then read on the following day.

I noticed that the June bill came on the 25th and from July the bill came on the 21st.

I received my last bill yesterday 21-08

Ours have always come around the 25th and this month came on the 22nd. Not really a big deal as the 25th would have been a Sunday anyways.

over a period of 7 years date was brought forward in stages 5 days from 21st to 16th, sometimes 15th.

The bills in my condo all used to come the same day around the 27/28th but a few months ago they brought this forward by a few days. They now all arrive around the 21st/22nd.

Payment is still taken by direct debit on the 13th of the next month with the receipt arriving by post a few days later; no change there at all.
