colinthailand20005
I would like to extend my 30 day stamp upon arrival. My current permission to stay finishes on the 3rd September, I need to stay until the 8th September. When can I go to the immigration office and extend 7 days? Do they always add the 7 days as an addition to my current permission to stay? My nationality is British. Thanks for your replies.
wayned
If you have a ticket out of Thailand it should be no problem You should go on the last day as some offices start the 7 days on the day that you apply. The cost is 1900 baht and you must complete a TM 7 form.
colinthailand20005
I have a plane ticket for the 8th September, and could really do with getting my extension sorted out in the next couple of days. But if I must wait so be it.
jrtmedic
You can go for the 7 days anytime. It will be effective as from the end of your current permission to stay. You will need 1900bht , a passport photo and copies of your passport, departure card and your "permission to stay" stamp.
Mario2008
It is not an official extension, so you might be told to come back at a latter time if you try it now.
ubonjoe
You can go early. Most offices now start the 7 days from the existing permitted to stay date. Since you have a ticket out they will make it at a minimum to the 8th.
