Birth Certificate

Featured Replies

Hi guys, I need help please. I lost my birth certificate and when I went to Khet Klongsan to have a copy of it they told me they cannot find it there. I was surprised because how come they don't have a copy of my birth cert. I am still lucky because I have it photo copied before I lost it. I ask them if there is a place where I can get a copy of my original birth cert and the officer told me he don't know. What should I do now? Thank you all in advance.

Strange they cannot give you an asnwer. The birth certificate should be at the amphur/khet of the area where you were born. (Sometimes hospitals have a copy of your hospital birth certificate, used to apply for your official birth certificate).

I would contact DOPA, the department of provicial administration that oversees the registars in Thailand and ask them for advise.

Their webiste is www.dopa.go.th they also have an information number on their website.
