Lightbulbs - more than 20

Featured Replies

Can someone please tell me where to buy lightbulbs in bulk. I;ve checked Rimping,Makro, Tesco, and Lotus and cannot find more than 2 or 3 of same kind in stock.

Looking for 100 watt bulbs. Thanks in advance.

Just about any of the shops you see advertising with lights in front of their stores. A good shop is on Chang Phuak road, left hand side as you go from the moat out towards Mae Rim (Opposite the Mecure hotel), It has a big Osram and Eve Lighting sign up high on the shop frontage.

A lot further along the same road, just before the Super Highway (About 100m back towards town) is another good shop. Its also on the same side as above....cant remember its name but good for bulk stuff.

Good luck

Shop with large Philips sign on the R side of WuLai just as you turn on to the street from the moat. Can't miss it. You can buy by the case.

Largest electrical part house in Chiang Mai. If they don't have no body does.

That place on Wulai's ok but gets really busy, tight (and hot) and you often get left hanging. Not great parking either.

Op, those listed are all predominantly food places. Better off with Global, HomePro, Home Mart, Home mall, etc. They all still carry incandescents. Though at 100W a piece you're talking at least 2000 watts right there, roughly 8 baht an hour. I'd look for a deal on 18-20 watt low energy twisties, which will save in the end, will last much longer and not heat up the place so much. Have picked up some Osrams before now on a good deal, and there's a Thai company that does 18-watters for about 50 baht.

Maybe the enquiry related to ye olde 100 watt bulbs, which I once read are no longer supposed to be used here.

Even the old 150Watt PAR lamps now have an energy saving equivalent.
