British parliament votes against military action in Syria

30 government ministers failed to even attend the debate. Surely the whips failed to do their job here? Even if it was just to let DC know he was in deep shit with this vote.

And apparently there will be a cabinet reshuffle on the back of it.

I do think its a bit of an odd way of thinking, cutting the armed services then thinking we should get involved in another punch up. Now if DC had built up the forces and then said the world is not a safe place look what is happening over there, he might have got a bit more support all round, an aircraft carrier with a load of helicopters on board is not going to set the cat among the pidgeons is it, you remember we sold the Harriers off cheap to our special friends.
