BANGKOK: -- Pheu Thai MP Weng Tojirakarn on Friday urged former Democrat leader Chuan Leekpai to take responsibility for the "improper" behaviour by some Democrat MPs.

He said that Chuan should come out to avoid social criticism that he could have supported such behaviour.

"Where is Khun Chuan? Has he gone from this world or Thailand? Why didn’t he stop Democrat MPs from resorting to violence? Five times of violent acts so far in the House chamber.

I find this unacceptable. I demand manners from the opposition party," he said.

Not sure why the former leader should be taking responsibility for MPs current actions - surely such accusations should be directed towards the current leader?
