tfc
I have a guest here who has run out of albuterol tablets which he uses for asthma. I wasn't aware that it even came in tablet form as I've only known of the ventolin inhaler but the tablets is what he is used to so he would prefer it over the inhaler. Is this something that is available at a pharmacy here or does he need to go to the hospital?
Naam
at least half a dozen different inhalers are over the counter available (Salmeterol and Salbuterol. never heard of "tablets" before. as a stop gap till your guest finds his specific drug i suggest a "Berodual" inhaler, available in virtually every pharmacy. Sheryl
Albuterol is the same thing as salbutamol which is available in tablet form (as well as inhaler) OTC without prescription. Many brand names, I would suggest salbutamol GPO. Have the guest write down "salbutamol" in block letters and hand it to a pharmacist specifying tablet. ("ya met"). Make sure he compares dosages= to what he has been on. Most of what is available is 2 mg tabs.
