Hotel Recommendation Similar to Flipper in Pattaya

I have a long stay coming up in Thailand starting Sep 24. This will be my 15th visit and I am determined to finally make it over to the Coast and spend a week in Krabi, Ao Nong etc. Does anybody have a modest hotel recommendation? I do like a pool. I am single and would probably have a guest in once in a while. Something similar to the Flipper Lodge in Pattaya is about what I am looking for. Nothing fancy. I don't want any pre-paid breakfast. I could do without a hotel if there is a pay per use pool at another place nearby.
