Looking for ideas on this one. I want to obtain an ATM card and one for my daughter in the US also. I DONT want to open a bank account here (in Bangkok) or in the states. Just want to be able to load the card and send to her card and/or vice versa. Western Union has such a card but can "load" only at US locations. Ideas please. Thanks I guess this is better known as a debit card or cash card but want ability to transfer to each card when money is put in the card............

Those cards are really a bad deal, but if it is really what you want, American Express also offers a program with pretty good flexibility. You can recharge it with a credit card or a linked account.

The exchange rate issues make it very expensive as well when it comes to either use or charging.

I had looked at it before for my own needs, but decided it was cheaper to use cash and ATM cards.
