February 15, 201412 yr Author It's kind of like replacing your substitute with a substitute isn't it?Beggars belief. Looks like Al Fayed bailed at the right time.
February 16, 201412 yr Sackings will only increase while you have new owners coming in who know nothing about football. Meulensteen what 75 days ? There is an FA law that relates to buyers being "being a fit and proper person" unfortuantly it doesn't mention intelligence or knowing the first thing about football. If Fulham go down the owner can take the blame and will create a huge tax write off, maybe that was the plan all along.
February 17, 201412 yr If you start a new job in the "real world" most of them come with a 3 month probationary period, I wonder why they don't seem to have the same in football. You can interview candidates till the cows come home but until they actually start work and do the day-to-day business your'e never going to know if they will actually fit in or whether they were talking Bull in the interview.

These aren't "jobs", they are contracts. What manager is going to accept that?! All jobs are contracts. As for who would accept it. Granted, a Manager that is currently in work may not unless it's to go to his dream job but other than that, any Manager that is currently out of work and there are loads of them, would probably accept it. Apparently even Wigan had masses of applications last year and that's not including the nutters who apply and then get discarded during the sift process.
February 17, 201412 yr Author Contracts are two way streets. What if your manager takes off like a train then gets poached by a bigger club?
February 17, 201412 yr You can put virtually anything you like in a contract as long as both parties agree to it. All I was asking is I wonder why football clubs don't seem to do it. Who know's, maybe the do but it just hasn't been enforced.

February 26, 201412 yr Pepe Mel at WBA about to go apparently....also rumours of a 2pm press conference at Manure...Hope agent Moyes survives
February 26, 201412 yr ..Hope agent Moyes survives Don't we all. I'm still perplexed by their lack of transfer activity last summer....the season was clear to many of us from that....I doubt the new chairman knows how to sack any more than to sign.
February 27, 201412 yr Pepe Mel at WBA about to go apparently....also rumours of a 2pm press conference at Manure...Hope agent Moyes survives Regardless of Sky Bet i'd find it staggering if Moyes would be sacked six months into a six year contract. Then theres all his new back room staff. United will take a massive hit despite any break clauses in his contract. Mindyou, i reckon he's lost the dressing room and the decline is getting worse week to week and its blatantly obvious he's going to have to go sooner or later so maybe the board will act quickly. Its going to be an expensive one though with multi millionaire Moyes richly rewarded for abject failure. What a strange world football is! Stability, stability, stability............
April 6, 201412 yr Another one gone Chris Hughton sacked by Norwich. http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/26916661
April 7, 201412 yr tbh i'm surprised he's lasted this long . but saying that what a rid'lse time of the season to sack a manager

I'd find it hard to believe theres anyone else stupid enough to sack a manager at this stage of the season. Mindyou, Vincent Tam could well be that man.

Makes sense to me. So who is going to be getting the transfer ducks in a row while VanGaal is in Brazil ?

May 13, 201412 yr Tim Sherwood sacked according to the Independant. First of several to go this close season http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/tim-sherwood-sacked-most-successful-spurs-manager-in-premier-league-era-has-left-tottenham-after-sixmonths-in-charge-9362513.html
May 14, 201412 yr Author Pepe Mel sacked by WBA on Monday. Allardyce's "future to be decided" next week, probably with a P45 (and not the depressed alcoholic kind).
September 20, 201411 yr fulham manager gone. but the one i am interested in is no suprise.OLE IS ON HIS WAY,OUT. cardiff city manager ole gunner solskjaer has had enough, quoted as saying the owner has different veiws on how to take the club forward. yes we read about every day here in thailand where they wont listern to what they are told. you know the ones MORE MONEY THAN SENSE. who wants a job? COME BACK MALKY ALL IS FORGIVEN
September 20, 201411 yr Pepe Mel sacked by WBA on Monday. Allardyce's "future to be decided" next week, probably with a P45 (and not the depressed alcoholic kind). Pulis will presumably now get to choose between Ham and Brom. I'm guessing Ham - more flamboyant ownership + probably more money to spend + prospect of iconic stadium. i'm hoping he gets it and keeps them up for 2 years.
