April 25, 200620 yr I have a Lexmark model X5250(printer/scanner) less than 2 years old, the AC adapter went south within the warranty period so the shop gave me a replacement free. In less than one year the replacement is broken, I do not do a lot of printing and before I go buy a new adapter can any one offer advice on this. Is this normal with Lexmark, if so, would you recommend buying a new and different model as my home is not conveniently located for shopping. I simple do not want to be bothered with this problem again.

I simple do not want to be bothered with this problem again. I have a Lexmark Z55 printer for about 4 years now and no problems with the power supply and one at my office. One recommendation is to not have the power supply turned on all the time but only when you need it. 2nd is make sure it is connected to a UPS.
