Were these areas flooded in 2011?

Could someone tell me if the areas named below were flooded two years ago, in 2011?

1. Ladprao, between the Ladprao MRT station and Central Ladprao shopping mall

2. Fantasy Island shopping mall and the surrounding Ramintra road/soi.

Central Bangkok was not flooded at all from what I remember. I saw no floods anywhere, not specifically in the areas you mentioned but in general.

There was a major shortage of bottled water though.

Not just bottled water. Instant noodles, eggs, fresh vegetables, sugar, condensed/evaporated milk, soy sauce, local fruit were in short supply too.

I recall that the upper part from Ladprao was flooded.

The answer is yes to both your questions.

Lat Prao MRT, the flooding went on further up LP towards The Mall Bang Kapi, it was certainly as far up as soi 35 area.

Ram Intra, I recall Yingluck has a house up that way, thats one of the reasons they showed that area on the news.

By "upper part from Ladprao" did you mean from Ladprao MRT station to Big C Ladprao?

As I recall I believe the answer to both questions is yes.

But to be honest I'm not 100% positive.

Ramintra certainly was, at least part of it. Not sure what Sois were involved. As I remember the Fantasy Island area was very well named in November 2011 as it was really an island with water all around it.

If I recall correctly there was over a meter of water near there and around it, especially in the parking lot area.

Ladprao MRT area was flooded. Klong Bang Sue (about 1km south) basically was the border between wet and dry in that area.

I am planning to move to one of these two areas: Ladprao Soi 16 and Ramintra Road (KM. 11) but not so sure now.

Already there are news warning Bangkok residents that the eastern parts of the capital may be flooded this month.

There is a possibility that Bangkok will see a repeat of 2011 floods, no?
