Penang Info required.

Featured Replies

I have three tourist visas (two from Savannakhet and one from Vientianne) and two Non B's in my passport already.

Will I have a problem getting a single entry tourist visa (60 + 30) from Penang?

One of my tourist visas was converted into a Non B by my school so I guess that's only really two 'pure' tourist visas.

I have never been to Penang before so I would appreciate some updated information with regards to the current visa situation.

Thanks angsta::

Penang is not known for being "friendly" probably best to look elsewhere

Hmmm really. That is a shame.

Will this be your first tourist visa since getting the non-b?

Having it after the tourist visas would break the chain of visas.

I think you would be safe going back to Vientiane for a 2 entry.

Since April 2011 it has been TV then off to Laos for a Non B in June 2011 - March 2012.

March 2012 - May 2012 in the UK

May 2012 - 30 day followed by a TV (60 + 30 ) in Laos

June another TV converted into a Non B which runs out in Dec

Before then I have numerous stamps around Asia including a year in Korea, an Indian visa and a few trips to Cambodia.

You should not have a problem getting a tourist visa. It is back to back tourist visas they don't like.

Email one of the Hotels that do the Visa service... myself asked Banana Hotel... give details of what you have had/what is already in your passport, she will say what chance you have in Penang .... .. myself, she advise to go to another Consulate, and gave me only a 40% chance of getting another Visa in Penang
