Cambodia licence

I have a Cambodia driver's licence. Cambodia does not issue international licences. I heard (rumor?) that Cambodia,Thailand,Laos and Vietnam licences are accepted in each other's country without the international status. Is that true? Is mine good in Thailand?

I have driven, and rented, a car in Thailand using my Cambodian license. In Vietnam, a VN license is mandatory. No idea about Laos.

Laos accepts a 5 year thai license so most lkely will accept a cambodian license ( are they in English?)

When i have been stopped in Cambodia i have shown my thai license, BUT never let it out of my hand.

Thai license is accepted in Malaysia as well

I have been only stopped twice in Laos ( out of three trip alll over the country) an both times they asked for all my cars papers, insurance an license.

My Thai Driver's license is valid in 10 Asean Countries. Got mine in Chiang Rai.
