China is trying very hard to stamp out any kind of democracy there so of course Thailand is just trying to9 keep up with big brother. 'Keeping's up with the Chin's'...

at the moment they try to stamp out any kind of corruption and Thailand is not trying to keep up with them.

Here is an idiot of the worst kind who thinks he can hold back the hordes who want to bring his little party game to an end by cordoning off head office!

Only in a country like Thailand could you pull this kind of stunt off - running a nation's affairs from a Dubai hotel room via Skype

and LINE. But only a very foolish person would imagine that this travesty could continue without the people of Thailand eventually tumbling

to his fraud. Can you imagine that nearly every leader in the world knows that this egomaniac is pulling this off and knowing that they therefore can

never take this country seriously again. China of course will be rubbing her hands as it has found a major SE Asian hub it can finance (2 trillion Baht loan anyone?)

and make its own. Thailand, Myanmar, Laos and Cambodia - yes Mr Thaksin you are doing a great job in the pocket of your masters.

Do you seriously believe that Thaksin Shinawatra is an agent of the Chinese Government?

I think you will find it is more about sending out messages. With the constitutional ammendment in the court amid claims of breach of separation of power breach (good article in Asian Correspondent via Siam Voices about that today) the PTP seem to be making it clear that they are not going down without a fight when challenged by any rump demo or the bureaucracy. Remember too this all comes amid reports of a deal between the old elite and the Thaksin side but obviously they are wary of each other and no side wants to show any weakness. And also in any deal their will be those who have been sacrificed and they will feel piqued and want to stymie it. Nobody is going to appear weak in the macho world of Thai politics

National Security Council Secretary-General Paradorn Pattanathabutr admitted that the decision to enforce the ISA in Bangkok had something to do with a warning by former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra that there would be a conspiracy to topple the government in October.

In other words Thaksin ordered this ISA because he is a paranoid M F.

Thaksin thinks, Pheu Thai acts, Proxy in is in Bali and getting ready to go to Hawaiigiggle.gifgiggle.gif

younger brothers (Paradorn) almost always follow the wishes of older brothers (Thaksin)

Other posts in the civil service and police have gone to Thaksin loyalists including Paradorn Pattanathabutr, who was made Secretary-General of the country's National Security Council and this month said Thaksin was "like a brother".

Add National Security Council to the long list of independent, checks and balances entities that are firmly "in the fold".

It turns the police force into the personal police force of a convicted fugitive.

The irony meter needle is pegged out at Unbelievable

Haha. I love how it only takes a mention of Taksin to get the ThaiVisa chimps out fapping and hurling turds at each other. It's a vast archipelago of red-faced white men inconsolably angry about something that they don't understand, can't change and that doesn't really affect them. It's like a PG Tips advert where the chimps are given a pocket calculator.

Never change, TV. You are perfect the way you are.

well they're all mesmerised and the hypno wouldn't work unless it was reinforced daily.

Bit like the poor thais selling Amway products. Pyramid selling and the message has to be reinforced at weekly meetings for the brainwashing to hold
