Low-cost option to Phitsanulok

ANGKOK, 9 October 2013: Thai AirAsia will operate two daily flights from Bangkok (Don Mueang) to Phitsanulok effective 30 November this year.

The airlines CEO, Tassapon Bijleveld, said the new flights will serve demand for both leisure and business travellers to this major town that stands at the edge of Thailands northern region.

Phitsanuloks location in the central or lower northern region makes it an ideal travel gateway for business travellers. We are taking this opportunity to strengthen our domestic connectivity, which has positive potential as an economic centre and tourism gateway for ,surrounding towns.

Very good news especially if it is truly a low cost option.

Initially, the promotion is good value. I have just tested with a return fare DMK to PHS 10-Dec-13 return PHS to DMK 12-Dec-13.

Then add in checked baggage (not part of offer) at 1320 baht making a total return fare of 2880 baht.

Very good offer but remains to be seen what happens when opening promotion is over.
