We're going to be there a week and away from WiFi, so I thought I might buy a prepaid SIM; mostly for data. We're driving to Nong Khai where we'll leave the car, make our way to the airport at Vientiane and then fly to Luang Prabang. I was hoping to buy a micro SIM at Wattay Airport. Thanyaburi Mac Posted October 20, 2013 Share Posted October 20, 2013 This past July a friend got a iPhone prepaid micro SIM, ETL or Unitel network, I think it was, downtown at a bakery. One cautionary note, have the staff where you get the SIM to the installation. Believe they also have to phone into the service office to activate the 3G function.
