Never been. I'd be for it as long as it's play-based learning and it's fun for the child. Developing a love of learning at that age is more important than the learning itself.

I must say the name, 'babies genius' doesn't fill me with confidence though.

Its thailand. English names dont mean much knowing that most of the people dont get it. Its like whats written on tshirts, here people dont really care of the meaning.

Anyways compared to helen doron babies gs seems much better.

Theres only the 3 of us at home (mum dad and son) so I thought it was good if he gets some interactions with other kids.

I like your point of learning to enjoy to study

in my experience they're not really interested in interacting with other babies until they're well over 1 year old... I am sure there are differences but with ours it was more like older than 2.

before that they've got plenty on their plate just for themselves.

i think it's actually best to let them play as much as possible; organized activity takes up time, which takes time away from play time, which is when they learn everything they need.

there's a great TedX talk on toddler brain development... can't remember the name of the lady talking but they're basically observing toddlers and finding that when the "play" they're actually experimenting and learning about the world at a rate that a grown scientist would find astonishing. For example they showed one toddler figuring out a blocks game by creating and dismissing 10 different theories in the space of a few minutes. The conclusion is, the kids are all right - they might look like they're rolling on the floor and chewing on anything in sight but they are actually doing the best learning for their development phase - distracting them from that might be detrimental to their development.
