Buying Balinese-style furniture in Bangkok

Featured Replies

Hi,

I'm getting a house at the tail-end of this year and will be looking to buy furniture for it soon. Just took a walk in CDC today with the missus, and found that pretty much everything is either modern contemporary or looks like it was ripped out of a Cath Kidston showroom. I don't even see much ethnic Thai furniture anymore.

Personally, I'd always liked Balinese style interior deco, so am looking for something similar. Would anyone here know where to get something like this? Or would I have to import them directly from Bali? My place isn't that big, it's a townhouse that's about 200 sqm large.

Thanks in advance for any tips or answers!

Try 39living at www.39living.com I have bought some nice Indonesian/Balinese style furniture from

them 3 years ago and so far so good and the price is fair.. Tel: 02 2587522

Try www.underthebo.com, but it's in Chiang Mai... not as far a Bali though.

when you need minimum a container, let me know... wai2.gif

There is also a furniture store on Sathorn Soi 12 - Absolutely fabulous that has some Indonesian imported furniture - but also pricey - but nice solid furniture with some great designs.
