I saw that last night. I pulled out my phone, opened Google Sky Map and yes, it is Venus.

It's a beautiful sky this evening in Pai with the Milky Way bright and clear arcing from Cassiopeia through the northern Cross southwest right into the setting Venus and crescent moon.

Agreed! I might set the alarm for 3:00 AM to see how the Taurid meteor shower is panning out.
