Ok buddy lets make it clear for you, in Patong there a a few majority groups for Thai women (before all the do-gooders pounce on me notice I say majority). Ill explain it in a nutshell

The freelancer: Generally you will meet them early in the night at a disco or a non-girly bar. They are up for a good time and getting drunk, normally you hang out with them for a few days, buy them a new phone or something like that. End of holiday swap numbers and promise to see each other again, generally they like you but they are going to find another punter the night you leave. Its nothing personal they are just party girls

The Bar girl: This is a pure business transaction, You pay the barfine and you take the woman home, if they are attractive then they will get barfined every night, normally they put the sob story on at breakfast time and you send them money each month. A good one will have 5 or 6 guys sending money. Bar girls dont want to work they want to sit around and eat somtum, smoke, gamble and drink lady drinks

The Waitress in the girly bar: These are often higher money earners than the bar girls in the long term because they come across at being nicer and cute, they go more for the punters sending money and less for the one night bar fines. They actually dont mind getting off their butts and working and get good tips for doing so

Lastly you have the massage lady: She is a very hard worker, she rubs down 5 - 10 naked blokes a day and earns decent money from that. Seeing a naked man doesnt faze her, she has seen thousands... She will also earn money from extras, out of those 10 she will probably get 6 or 7 extras. Each one of those she will try to put the guilt trip / hard working woman / cute smile / party girl trick on. They are the most hard working in their industry. They would have 10 guys sending them money if they are good.

Now anyone who knows Patong knows a particular lady there whose western sounding name starts with 'N'. At the height of her career (she is getting a bit long in the tooth now) she had 150 motorbikes, a house in Patong, 3 massage palors, an Internet cafe (which all her girls used to send emails to the punters with her help) and a 1million baht plus Fortuna. She would have men from the 4 corners of the globe sending her money

So, IMO the massage women are the least trustworthy

You're missing the majority: the girls who are simply looking for a better life, by marrying preferably a farang.

Marriage is just a short term contract postition for most of them now.

Once the new house is built up in Issan, and they have a pick-up truck, maybe a shop in the village, some cash in the bank, maybe some land, and the girl has residency of the country of the farang - she is out of there.

Should the money dry up during the marriage - she's out of there a lot sooner.

She returns back to Issan, to retire early, after being a successful business women in Southern Thailand.

I forgot to mention cashiers in my rant, they are one step above a bargirl and one rung below a waitress, dont want to work to hard but still want to play the suckers like a fiddle. A lot of guys fall for this and proudly tell everyone "oh she was just a cashier in a bar". In Australia its considered a bit of a joke "she is just a receptionist in a brothel" hahaha
