The General announced the arrest of the 4 men aged between 16 and 20. The eldest member of the gang was arrested first and provided Police with information which led to the arrest of the remaining gang members.

Items seized during the arrests include 2 guns with bullets, a Laptop Computer, 510 Baht in cash, a mobile phone and Honda Wave Motorbike.

One of the gangs alleged victims, Mr. Peter Bovenseepen aged 69 from Germany, was present to formally identify the gang members.

I'm guessing the two on the flanks rode the getaway skis.

that was a huge bust, look at all the goodies they retrieved, including 2 guns (with bullets) cant possibly imagine a tourist packing, but then maybe that tourist was up to speed with thai crime

Just as I was wondering if there was such a thing as unfair business practice in Thailand...whistling.gif

Just goes to show what I've always said, farang are the root of all evil in Thailand. giggle.gif

Crikey they are a clever looking lot. 510 baht? They'd make more money stealing from blind beggars.

So why do they allow some of these thugs to cover up their faces. Is this some sort of joke. I forgot ........TIT

Probably because they are younger than 18, and therefore counted as children/minors, so their faces should not be shown.

I'm guessing that they are underage.

Looking at this, I think, "What's the use?". I mean really: what's the damn use? It's all a big charade anyways, and no one here is being fooled.

Na not like that Pattaya Street Robbery Gang targeting foreigners

That's just a good lawyer's work for not even a fine making them a symbol for the Thai version of Robin Hood and the band of merry men ONLY ROB FROM THE RICH and give to the poor.

Acutally it is not good because he is pointing over their heads. This evidence will be invalid!

And instead of point why didn't mr Farang pull off that bloody ski mask.!

Tourist will not be around to testify in court, so they get away with it, thats why.

Sleeping on a bamboo bench, waiting for the money transfer via the local post office.

Do these thugs realise the trouble that they have heaped upon BIB? Senior plod have had to be dragged off the golf course , don their best whistles and berets, spend interminable hours in 'make up' and spend more time practicing their smug smiles of satifaction. How dare their disturb the sleepy peace of law abiding Pattaya? Off with their heads.

Let's hope for real justice. If found guilty in court, (A very public court case, public in all

the Thai Papers) and a long jail term for each, perhaps this will send a message to the

other "little thugs" to think twice before attacking other people on the streets. No 500B

fine and on your way to the next victim.
