Friends making a trip up from Malaysia into Hatyai with family for 4-5 days.

They invested in a fancy car and want to know recommendations for a hotel with the best parking facilities (i.e. enough space for the guests (i.e. no overflow parking into streets etc.), security, covered if possible... budget not really an issue.

Any recommendations?

I always stay at the Diamond Plaza Hotel, downtown, underground parking, easy walk to market, shopping Mall, food an about 900 baht

Centara Hadyai hotel has guys with mirrors on the end of a pole that they search under the car as you enter very secure, covered parking area. Hotel is in centre of town.

The Hilton, but the 8000 Bht a Night off season rate has finished.

thanks everyone, diamond plaza sounds good, and Centara is probably worried about separatists (does that mean it's less safe or MORE safe because they do more checking......)

there's no Hilton in Hat Yai
