ThePunPun
Dear Fellow TV'ers The PUN PUN would like to announce that we will again be putting on our annual Traditional American Thanksgiving Day Dinner. We will, again,be offering the Thanksgiving Dinner on two days. Being as Thursday [Thanksgiving Day] is a workday here and many cannot take off just for a dinner, we will have the second Thanksgiving Dinner on the following Sunday. The ‘Bill o Fare’, for our , Thursday the 28th November , Thanksgiving Day Dinner, will be repeated Sunday the 1st of December. We have set up 3 Dinner Sitting Times for each day. The first 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM The next 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM And last 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM The complete price this year is 630 baht. I do hope that we can host your family this year , and if so please get back to me with your preferred dining time, If you are able to utilize either of the earlier 2 sittings, it would be greatly appreciated. We are a small guest house and do have limited dining space available. Folks seem to appreciate the Sunday sitting, as many do have work or have other obligations on Thursday, a normal work day here. Hope you can join with us in our annual Day of Giving Thanks. BillyBobThai
Put me down for your first feeding on Thanksgiving day. There will only be myself as the wife is to frugal when it come to spending money to eat. As she says, why spend 630 baht when she can eat for 30 baht anywhere in town. I will be there at 1pm. Thanks Robert

ThePunPun
I was reminded , not once, but twice, yesterday that I didn't mention if TV members identifying themselves as such , would receive the 10% discount. The answer is, of course, YES ! That is kind of important to many and I apologize for my forgetfulness. G
ThePunPun
Just a few words of thank you to those who have contacted regarding The Thanksgiving Dinner at The Pun Pun, and especially to those who have made bookings for our dinner. I would like to say to those considering dining with us, if you can and if you have the option, please consider the earlier two dinner sitting times. It seems to be heavily weighted towards the evening sitting. We would love to have you by to experience our Thanksgiving Dinner with all the trimmings Thanks G
Popular Post Chicog
I'm sure it's only the lighting and colour, but that photo does not make it look that appetising.

daoyai
I'm sure it's only the lighting and colour, but that photo does not make it look that appetising. It is the turkey gravey covering everthing, Turkey gravey has that greyish color... looks just like what my granny used to make. I always liked dark meat, no gravy, the white is for sandwiches later,,, and yea, the photo poor.

Saan
I'm sure it's only the lighting and colour, but that photo does not make it look that appetising. Food is incredibly hard to photograph. Those delicious dishes you see in food magazines have been really worked on by specialist photographers and at times have more makeup than Cher. Photographing food is a trap for young players like Gonzo but I've been assured he plates up a tasty dish.

ThePunPun
http://gawno.com/2009/05/78-photography-rules/ Thanks for the tip and the link Chicog. I went thru all the tips , all 78 of them and it was difficult to find the one that was where I made my mistake. But I think I got it...... It was number 22..... Right !!!! I now understand the art of photographing onions, but find it difficult to photograph the onions properly , and in the proper light as they were already peeled, cut and in the salad. Can you and would you please give me further instructions on how to get the right light on the onions and not too much light on the tomatos and especially the carraway seeds. Many thanks in advance Gonzo

ThePunPun
Makes me almost wish I were American. No pumpkin pie? Knowing how valuable you feel our discount to TV members is, if you wish to waive that discount , I would consider adopting you for Thanksgiving Day. I refuse discounts on the grounds that they might incriminate me and just advocate on behalf of others. narkeddiver
I often wonder if the discussion amongst the native Indians went something like this "Should we help them?" "They look harmless enough" "What's the worst that could happen?" Sent from my iPad using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app

ThePunPun
9 Days to Turkey Day If anyone is contemplating making a dinner booking, may I suggest to do so as early and as soon as possible. It would be greatly appreciated. This helps us with being better able to purchase and prepare that which is required. Not being a larger service type of restaurant, every little step in knowing the number who will be attending , greatly helps. Thanks G

Shot this salad with my pocket camera at Rimping Mae Hia a couple of days back ... I'd never try to cook Thanksgiving dinner, however. Gonzo the Face
A great big thank you to all of you who have made the decision to have Thanksgiving Dinner with us this year. Yes the total numbers are down some , but guess that has to be put down to the 35 baht increase in price this year. People just do not realize the increases in food, purchase and preparation in the past year. Certainly more than the approx 5% increase. Again a sincere thank you to those making bookings Gonzo
