May 2, 200620 yr I am going to be an exchange student in France (in BKK now) during this upcoming Fall semester, so now I'm looking for airline tickets. I've checked with a few travel agency and so many of the flights are already fully booked (around the end of August). Anyways, I just want opinions about Gulf Air, Kuwait Airline, and Emirates Airline. Are these airlines decent (safety or any other aspects)? Also, can anyone suggest any good websites for buying airline tickets (cheap ones!)? your comments would be appreciated!

May 2, 200620 yr Also, can anyone suggest any good websites for buying airline tickets (cheap ones!)?your comments would be appreciated! I have used the follow method a few times, and it works okay if you have the time and need the best possible price: - search on travelocity.com, orbitz.com or kayak.com (do this a few times on different days, the prices fluctuate a lot) - go to the website of whatever airlines have the cheapest flights, and see if their site gives you a better price - get a copy of the Bangkok Post, turn to the classified section under travel, spend an hour or so calling travel agents that advertise there. Most of them will want to check online and call you back. (I've found that about half the travel agents want way more than travelocity, but the occassional travel agent will get you a great price) hope this helps
May 2, 200620 yr Dont know about cheap but.......give you an idea..... http://www.thaiairbooking.com/search.html
May 2, 200620 yr I have flied with Kuwait 3 times. Not so expensive and correct service. But in my case I had to wait ~5 hours in transit in Kuwait Airport, boring.
May 3, 200620 yr Author i tried searching on many different sites and the prices are alot more expensive than what travel agents offer... anyways.. thanks everyone!
May 15, 200620 yr Honestly , Emirates is one of the best Airlines i was ever flying with... Agree 100%! It's Emirates every time for me now. I suppose some people like to fly non-stop but I like a journey in 2 parts and get some awesome duty-free shopping in Dubai airport. Book online as well at Emirates.com - easy and painless!

May 17, 200620 yr Along with the fine suggestions from other forum members, you could try the Khoasan Rd website, yes they do have a dedicated site. There are several travel agencies advertising with them.
May 17, 200620 yr www.traveltech2000.com had good prices for tickets I bought recently. I was flying east instead of west but they had some good offers on their site so worth a look.
