Ulic
A lot of sad stories of victims of ATM skimming and accounts being drained. Police apathy in providing reports. Bank denials on responsibility for the loss. Also a lot of good information of countermeasures to prevent/minimize the loss. I know the banks in most Western Counties quickly and efficiently return the money. My question is, has anyone recovered any money from a Thai Bank from one of these scams? What was the process? Banks name?
Ulic
Not one reply in all these months says it all. Beware your Thai accounts.
somchaismith
There was one guy's experince of Thailand ATM fraud (with photos) documented on a website, a couple of months back. If I remember correctly there was clear evidence of fraud, though he could only get reimbursed fifty percent of the monies by the bank, after a long fight. I can't seem to find the website, maybe it was on Richard Barrow's site. Strange,as my search results are usually quite good. Might have been removed from the net, who knows?
