Machine shop for engine re-bore

Featured Replies

Can anyone recommend a place to do this? I'm more than happy to post the part away for this to be done.

There's a local place here on Samui but I'm concerned about how accurately this job needs to be done and how you can't "un-do" this job if Somchai messes it up...

It would be easier if you moved to Pattaya then your no more than half an hour from all sorts of interesting people with skills and equipment you can hire.

Tell me about it... However my home and business is here on Samui.

youll need to get the pistons before you bore it, and youll need to tell them the tolerances.

at a machine shop...lol

just take it to a mechanic on samui, and tell them 'kwahn sua sube', theyll know where to do it. Doesnt have to be a specialist.

what kind of bike is it for, theres a shop in cnx that has pre bored cylinders for many different bikes, mainly scooters.

This is for a 4-cylinder Honda Hornet CB250FY.

I'm really not sure if I trust a local place to do this. I'd rather have it sent to a reputable place.
