Since when is not showing up for work " civil disobedience" ?

When you are reacting in response to a stupid ex dem opposition party deputy PM calling for people to go on strike as part of a campaign of civil disobediance?

How come you were confused by that situation?

Seems fairly obvious to me.

So you're saying Mahatma Ghandi should have been arrested for inciting civil disobedience.

No. I was answering a question that involves contemporary Thailand Politics and not Gandhi and India. You might get a clue about the substance of this forum by 1) its name 2) the title of the thread and 3) the fact that Mahatma Gandhi has <snip> all to do with Sutheps call for civil disobedience.

So go troll somewhere else.

OK Showbags, imagine the scenario whereby you landed your dream job (and it was well paid into the bargain).

Now your boss had a lazy daughter who had just left school without any qualifications and quite liked the idea of going out with her mates partying all the time.

Her doting daddy sacks you and gives the job to his daughter so that she can live the life she wants.

As you head out of the door for the last time thinking 'this can't be right' and it is just so unfair!

Now, wouldn't it be nice to have a bunch of blokes stand behind you and say "we are not having this" and strike on your behalf?

Not according to you its not!!

No, fight your own battles, take them to court...don't get the gang/mob mentality that you lot have and disrupt everything and everyone and make it impossible for business because of 1 person.

It is for 60 million people not because of one person (although about 20 odd million people wouldn't realise this even if the fact was implanted into their brains)!!

It is for the sake of Thailand for christ sake - isn't that worth fighting for with people standing up and showing that this government is not going to get away with their abuses under the pathetic banner of "we were elected by the people democratically". They might have fooled so many ignorant un-educated people with their lies, but that doesn't give them the right to do as they please in what will surely ruin Thailand, if they cling to power for much longer!!
