AyG
Is there such a thing as a list of all Thailand prescription-only medicines available (preferably in English)? I've looked the FDA website and found nothing. Thanks.

AyG
All medication available in Thailand can be referenced here http://www.mims.com/index.aspx Unfortunately, MIMS doesn't (as far as I know) state if something is prescription only in a given country. lopburi3
All medication available in Thailand can be referenced here http://www.mims.com/index.aspx Not unless you are a member it seems. And although they now allow membership to patients they seem to have a spam agreement somewhere in the application that I missed. The emails do appear to have opt out links however so probably worth it.

Absolutely it does ! Each medication is given an FDA category which indicates if the medicine is available OTC or not

I have never received spam from the MIMS site

Having a second look, it appears that some drugs do have a Thai FDA category there. The drug I was specifically searching for (trajenta) doesn't. Sheryl
I'm sure that would not require a prescription, none of the hypoglycemic agents do.
AyG
I'm sure that would not require a prescription, none of the hypoglycemic agents do. That's what I would have thought. Januvia (a very similar drug) hasn't been a problem. However, Trajenta has not only been much more difficult to find, I've also been told by a couple of pharmacies that it's prescription only. (Of course, that could be because they just wanted to get rid of me.)
Sheryl
Most likely. None of the hypoglycemis agents are script only. More likely they just didn't know what it is. With hard to find meds the simplest way is to contact the distributor and ask them for the name of a pharmacy in your area that they have supplied it to. The distributor for this is Zuellig: Contact Number: Tel: 0 2656 9800 Fax: 0 2656 9801 Email: [email protected]
