pompeylad
I would appreciate info on 3G/Internet coverage for the area around Nam Phong which I am told is about 40 Kms outside of Khon Kaen city on the road to Udon Thani. I have an air card from True but am told that True coveage not good and that AIS is better albeit patchy. Can anyone help please from personal knowledge. Many thanks in advance
GinBoy2
As for 3G coverage True's 850mHz coverage is by far the best. Now I'm not advocating True in general, since they can be a pain in the ass, but the AIS and DTAC 2100 mHz 3G network's are pretty patchy to say the least
bunnydrops
I use True. Like the poster above says "pain in the Ass" but when traveling around I have good luck getting a connection. I live south of KK, rural, good connection here.
sometimewoodworker
True is good in Nam Pong http://www.sensorly.com/map/2G-3G/TH/Thailand/True_Move/gsm_52099
IsaanAndy
In a recent interview the CEO of AIS said that the 3G rollout for 2013 would center on major areas of population first before being extended in 2014 to the "bush". I suspect this model is being followed by all the carriers as it will cover most businesses in the first wave with the smaller communities following.
