Apparently it's only worth $16. Hardly worth the effort.

The reason it has a low value on your site is because the ebsite has never been developed.

It has just been parked.

There is very good potential for this site if developed, but the value of anything is always what somebody is willing to pay for it.

Potential and wisdom sometime make people a lot of money. Everyone thinhks diferent and that is why there are successes and failures.

It's cheap and easy to set up a new domain. And there are plenty of other domain names that might be equally attractive of a similar type: thailanddirect.com, thailand2you.com, thailand2u.com, thailandexpress.com are just a few I came up with in a few seconds. Now replace "thailand" with "thai" or "siam" - that gives a few more domain names. Then instead of ".com" it could be ".co.th" or "in.th".

Yes, your domain name could be used, but the development costs are not trivial. And an equally successful site could be developed on any of the domain names I've suggested. (I haven't checked whether they actually exist or not.) Sorry, but that is why your domain name is virtually worthless. The prices you see advertised for domains for sale are simply fantasy figures; domains don't change hands at those prices. There are relatively few really valuable domains - sex.com springs to mind. These domains typically include a term that people search for on the Internet. Domains which are company trademarks are also valuable, but are difficult to hang onto since the trademark owner will attempt to seize the domain. Sorry to put a damper on your hopes of riches.

Ha ha what a crap valuation site.

I happened to be looking at this site http://asiapropertyworld.com and put it in for a valuation. Result? Also $16 and the accompanying text said that there were no pages indexed by Google. This is a large site so I checked that as well by putting "site:http://asiapropertyworld.com" info Google with the result "About 199,000 results".

Best of all you get the same answer of $16 for ThaiVisa.com If George wants to sell based on this I'll generously round it up to $20 laugh.png

www.directfromthailand.com is a nice name but as has already noted something is only worth what someone else will pay for it.

As I stated before, the value is only worth what somebody else is willing to pay and everyone has an opinion as to what is a good domain or not.

I guess the main thing is what you do with the domain name to make either your business or website successful.

To be honest, you would be lucky to sell any 3 word domain - unless the domain gets traffic, has PR, or has a large amount of exact match keyword searches.

I have sold a number of domains over the years, and most of my sales stemmed from being contacted via email through whois info, so it is important to at least make sure that your contact info is good.

If you have no interest in developing it, then I would offer it for sale on somewhere like sedo.com or dnforum.com, and if you get no interest, sell it cheap on a webmasters forum like digitalpoint.

$360 on valuate.com with cpc. $0.05 As you say, not worth the effort! But I just valued one of my domains at domainestimator.com and it told me $16 too It told me zero searches for Krav Maga on google which is nonsense. valuate.com gives $9,800 and 58c cpc. Somethings not right with domainestimator!!

As i said, the price would be predicated on the potential for the site and the future, not the past or a parked, never developed website. That is why the value is so low, as you know.

I am a novice at this, so don't know if sedo or dnforum will work for me.

I would just like to sell this fast at a decent price.

your domain is worth jack shit. sorry to tell u the truth but too many dreamers/believers out there already. the value of a domain name like that has everything to do with TRAFFIC/VISITORS so as long as u don't have (let's say) 1.000.000/month I suggest u keep on registering other useless domain names for the sake of it.

In regards of your domain. Sorry to say I just don't see the potential.

I have a special php scripts that I just enter some keywords and he will come up with the following domains

domainestimator is rubbish. This site list Agoda.com at USD 16 with PR0 and no backlinks. Even Thaivisa.com is listed as 16 USD and I would be happy to pay 3-5 million Baht for the website but I am sure George would tell me go back to Sakon Nowhere.

My site is also listed at 16 USD and I often have been offered for my website more then 100 K USD if I sell the DOMAIN WITH ITS UNIQUE CONTENT. The last offer was just last week for an investment of 400,000 USD and I gladly declined.

My advise - Forget about the domain trading. Invest 2 years in hard work, get a good ranking of thousands of keywords, get strong inbound links from PR7 to PR9 and you will be surprised what kinds of offers you get in 2 years time.

HotelTravel was just recently bought for USD 25 millions smile.png

Honestly, the domain doesn't have much value.

It's three words, contains only one usable keyword, 18 letters !

Maybe you can find some guy who wanted this exact domain and who will agree to drop 50 to 100 USD for it, but chances are you won't.

I would just delete it, not worth spending hours to recoup just 50 USD.

Thanks for all your comments and advice, but most of you are missing the point.

I am not a trader of domain names and I know nothing about that business, I just wanted to see what the value of my domain name was now that I am not going to be developing it.

Just seeing if I could get any money for it, nothing more and nothing less.

There are many websites that sell domains (for a fee or commission).

You can post your domain there, and set whatever price you like.

Google "domains for sale" and you will find those websites.

IMHO this domain is not worth much, so I doubt if it's worth the effort involved in selling it.

You seem to know about this more than I do, however, there are some websites that do better estimates.

For example, this one:

Says Agoda.com is worth 166 million $US! not bad at all....

Another place where you can estimate a website's traffic is here:

It's the most accurate tool I came across so far.
