samran
'Your're a bargain' sound like something like Genie Little would say in a hight pitched voice. Usually followed by 'luv' or 'darl'. I use 'good value' to describe anyone I like but don't know too well, partiularly when decribing them to other friends. Defintetly used amongst 20-30 somethings. Like "Oh, I finally had a beer with Joe Bloggs the other night. He is quite good value isn't he?" Meaning, he is funny, interesting and worth spending time having a chat with. When you know that person a bit better, they graduate to "Yep, that Joe Blogs is a good bloke isn't he?"
khall64au
I actually used the "bargain" expression the other day... I was waiting for the bus... ME - "I hope we don't have to wait to long" Mate - "yeah.. oh there it is now" ME - "Bargain !" totster So, in that context ... could you not translate "Bargain" to "cool".... as in "your a bargain/ you're cool?"
