Does anyone know if the purple colored shampoo for gray hair can be purchased here in Thailand?

If so, where?

And no, it doesn't tint your hair purple like the little old ladies driving in the fast lane.

It just makes gray hair look much cleaner and shinier.

I know that in Thailand almost all Thais start coloring their hair as soon as the first gray ones show up.

But I like my gray/white hair!

These are good, but any brand would do!

There's no Lush in Thailand. Nearest stockist is in Singapore - stores in Suntec and Wisma Atria. Boots is the local distributor for 'touch of silver', which I believe is the same.

It took me years to realise that older Thai men dye their hair. I always wondered why FIL hard such strong dark hair until my wife explained it to me. I like my grey hair too - had it since my 30's - result of an accident. But you can always pick the older farang who has been married to a younger Thai women for a few years.

The wives seem to get a desire for a younger looking husband, hence the hair dye. But problem, most of the dye for men soon turns farlang grey hair a kind of weird red colour. Been there done that. In my case it turned red just before I went back to Oz to see my family. They were very polite for a few days until they couldn't control themselves any longer. 'Having another mid life crisis are we' ? My wife has given up this idea now.

When I met first Thai significant other had bottle black hair. Gradually let it go grey. Told her it was her fault and she had to treat me better.biggrin.png
