angsta
Basically the list of Universities they check your degree against. Where can I find this online? Many thanks. ::angsta
aidenai
In its requirements The Teachers' Council of Thailand states that accreditation of university degrees has to be checked against the records in the database of the TCT, TEPC or OCSC. angsta
http://203.21.42.34/acc/index.html Great - how does it work?
JamieP
you need to select the third option and it will go to the database you then need to type / paste the name of the country in the top box (in Thai) the drop box doesn't seem to work properly this needs to be the formal Thai name of the country eg: UK สหราชอาณาจักร USA สหรัฐอาหรับเอมิเรตส์ Aus ออสเตรเลีย The list of universities will then appear in the next box and the information will appear about its status It's a pain that there is no website in English (that I have been able to find.) Apologies for posting Thai outside the Thai language forum but in this case I ask for it to be taken into account that it is necessary to use the website. angsta
Is there a list available anywhere else on the net? I cant get the drop down to work and when I do only 2 British Universities are listed. Very strange.
angsta
There is a listing for "Trent University" without Nottingham. It is accredited. On what page is the listing for 'Trent University' I can't see it by looking at the drop-down. Thanks.
JamieP
Those universities being Bath and Warwick? That's what I get if I put the country in as England in Thai. You need to put in the Thai for United Kingdom that I mentioned above. That still works for me. The webpage is not well designed and doesn't seem to work correctly in Firefox, IE or Chrome. Only part of the list appears in the drop down for both countries and institutions so you have to type / paste both as they are listed. It's a total PIA but it's the only list I can find. angsta
Now I get 116 listed but I can't see Trent, I used this as the search; สหราชอาณาจักร (United Kingdom)
JamieP
Did you actually start to type "Trent" in the university name field? Here's the best step by step I can think of: 1. Go to the database link and click the third option. 2. Change your keyboard to Thai input and press the 'L' and 'S' keys. You should see 4 options. Click to select the bottom one again. 3. Change back to English input and start to type "Trent." If you just scroll in won't be there.

JamieP
That message means that the univeristy is listed with 0 restrictions. I get the same message for my university and I have my full licence. So as far as I can tell you are fine.(as far as you can be of anything when dealing with red tape here)

I get the same message for my university and I have my full licence. So as far as I can tell you are fine.(as far as you can be of anything when dealing with red tape here) No, it doesn't. It means that there is no listing for that particular university, ie; it is not accredited as far as they are concerned.

thequietman
Ahhh well that sucks. What's Plan B? There's only a plan B if you believe in what 'the quietman' is saying. The quietman is correct. Type in United Kingdom (in Thai) as shown on this thread. Then type name of University - thequietman University and click. It will come back with above '0' and same Thai script as shown in the posts previously. Check it.............. if you believe that thequietman Uni is legit, then............... Good for you. I am thinking your uni is accredited anyway. Your present school would have sent a copy of your degree for your provisional teaching license. If there was a problem, you would have heard about it from the TCT.
