bkk to koh phangan for NY then to pattaya/chonburi for work :)

Featured Replies

Hello there,

I have a trip planned to go to the full moon party over new years before I start work on the 6th of January. It would be great if someone more experienced could critique my travel plans.

26th December flight lands in bKK -------- (should I pre book a guest house/hostel or just find one off koh san rd when I get there)?

27th another night in bkk (during the day book an overnight bus from the southern bus station for the following night).

28th ---- over night bus from bkk southern bus station to the ferry place. (when and where do i get the ferry ticket from)? and can I get return tickets?

29th arrive on koh phangan (accommodation already booked)

30th - 3rd on koh phangan (then catch the ferry back to the port then the bus back to bkk)

4-5th meet my airport pick up from the school im working at then head up to pattaya ready for work on the 6th!!

how does that sound :)

You are coming during absolute high season. I'd pre book on KSR.

Plus, I'd fly to Samui and take the short boat ride over KPN. So many bus accidents recently. Especially night buses. And if you aren't on an official government bus, the ones you get from KSR are super dodgy. IMHO, worth the extra money. Even if you just take AA to Surat and then ferry over from there to Samui and then on to KPN from there.

This is a must watch. Especially if you are moving here:
