teej
For those with knowledge of NGVs (not LPG), what's your take on them? Conversion from petrol to CNG... pros, cons, price? Has anyone in here done it? Just thinking about converting an older Range Rover for bi-fuel use (petrol + CNG), and wondering if anyone has any opinions... thanks, teej
terdsak_12
A Thai mate of mine has a mid 90's Merc S280 on LPG, he swears by it, saves him a fortune on gas (200 Baht Bkk - Conburi and back), and it seems to run great to me, even though it's got 200K on the clock. Conversions are around 20-30K I think for LPG and 50-60K for NGV. Apparently it can take age to fill up a NGV tank, where as LPG is more like a regular pump. Deffinately worth considering for a Range Rover, there are a few shops on Suk 103 that do the work. PM if you want more info.
Sanpatong
Has anyone actually converted a diesel engine for use with NGV? What sort of mileage do you get on NGV, and is it as widely available as LPG?
Clipped
diesel to NGV isnt perfectd yet as far as i know, there seems to be a problem with the injection system and compatibilty...but i have seen commercial trucks with ngv conversions.
