Knorr cubes
They do seem to be laden with salt and chemicals, not sure whether they now contain MSG. I think you do need to add a limited amount of salt to soups and stews for the taste but I usually use fresh or dried herbs for flavour. Even with a stock cube I don't think it's too bad if using in a soup or stew. One cube in a 4 portion pot would be my limit. -

Exactly! The bikes frontend is embedded in the front of the car, and the car is on the proper side of the road. I still stick with my original assessment, the motorbike drove head-on into the car trying to make a right turn in front of it, or crossed the road without stopping to make sure it was clear to do so. I lean more towards the head-on collision, based on the indent in the hood and what appears to be a head/helmet impact on the passengers side of the windshield. -

We didn't buy 20 properties at once. They were bought one at a time, starting in December 2009. Thai spouse and I fixed each one up, usually while we lived in it, sold it at a profit, and then used the money we made to buy the next one, usually a little bigger. We started with a studio condo as that was all we could afford when we moved to Thailand. Although our finances are much better than when we arrived and I suppose we could move somewhere else, we still find Thailand a great place to live. We especially like Pattaya, which has a huge variety of housing on offer, both in condos and houses, at all price points. There's also the big and diverse year-round expat community and we have made some nice friends. Pattaya has changed tremendously since we first arrived in 2010, and we find it checks the most of our wants and needs boxes in a place to live year-round than anywhere else in Thailand. -

Similar experience with my wife and I living in Bang Saray. We only go to that part of Pattaya to go to Immigration, Tukcom, T21, BK Hospital, and once or twice Central Festival. I always say the same thing every time I go through that area, 'how can someone enjoy living in this area?'. I find it greasy and most filthy, just like the people there. The only bar we've ever been in was during mandatory quarantine, and walking street was dark, as in no lights and everything closed. -
