My Thai wife and I were married in the US, she also has a US passport, now she wants to change

her name in her Thai passport to her married name. Have been told that we now need to get married in Thailand and the process starts at the US Embassy in Bangkok?

Any help as to what I need to do would be greatly appreciated. We live in Khon Kaen.
