"Swampy" is a good option if you are flying out from there.

Website is a little outdated. They do them 24/7 without a problem now and charge 200 baht extra to do copies and photo.

The whole thing is pleasantly batty. I have a re-entry permit but I have just renewed my retirement visa which was due to expire on December 12 2013 .So now have extension to December 12 2014. I am leaving December 6 coming back December 16. Apparently Re-entry permit is invalidated by not using it before December 12 2013 ie within period of last visa!..hence need for new one!!! Happy days in Ubon!!

When you do an extension of stay any existing re-entry permit is no longer valid because you have a new permit to stay date.

There is a desk at one of the immigration areas. Ask before you actually go through immigration and they will direct you to the correct place.
