what apps do you recommend for calling overseas from Thailand.
I use magicjack. if you are calling to the usa or canada, it works. I have used magicjack for over 15 years. occasionally, they have sales where you can get 5 years for 150 usa dollars. that is what I do. I keep 2 separate phone numbers active. one with area code in california and one with area code in nevada. I use the one in california all the time for contacting banks and other financial institutions I have connections to in the usa. I keep the one in nevada active even though I don't use it because I plan to live in nevada when I return to the usa someday. having 2 magicjack accounts also allows me to test connections using 2 phones. just google magicjack for the website. if you sign up, they will send you a toggle device that you can use when you want to call using magicjack. but I don't use that toggle device anymore. I just install their magicjack android app on my phones that you gain access to when you sign up and pay for their service. you cannot access the android app on google playstore. -

A bloody big encyclpedia (That I know off) had the international phone numbers for banks or government organistations that I may need to call whilst abroad, I got them before leaving. -
