According to this article Hamad International Airport in Doha will open for passengers in January 2014.

Innitially 10 Airlines with Qatar Airlines themselves following later in the year.

Good news comming out of Qatar for a change.

I was working on the construction of the airport until the 8th of November.My colleagues are still there.there a few flights in and out occasionally.they are I believe tests.I can,t see it being open to .passenger flights by early next year.But thats just my opinion.
