how do i stay in thailand for 42 days, as i am allowed by australia 6 weeks out the country without pention penalties.

i get 30 days when i arrive, the other 12 is the problem .

i would appreciate any input

Get a single entry tourist visa before you leave that would give you a 60 day entry.

Plus you would not need to have a ticket out of the country within 30 days that is required if you don't have a visa.

Apply for a tourist visa at a Thai consulate and you will be allowed to stay for up to 60 days.
