David P Posted December 7, 2013 Share Posted December 7, 2013 Hi guys, I'm desperately seeking a serious touring bike like a Surly or a Dawes here in Chiang Mai, yeh I know now I should have brought one with me? Velocity has a Canadian brand, Japanese copy, made in China bike but they only have a smaller size than I'd like. I'm guessing I might have to get one imported in a 56 or 58? fdimike Posted December 8, 2013 Share Posted December 8, 2013 Newbie I ran into a local cyclist here today in Udon Thani who wants to sell his 2010 Surly LHT for 39,000THB. I eventually Tracked down a 58 frame in Km8 bicycle and I'm hopeful of getting a complete bike made up with an STI Tiagra modification, rather than the standard touring shifters. Otherwise I'd be asking for the guy in Udon's number, though he's asking quite a bit too much, I was quoted 42.500 for a new one. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
