I gave my good laptop a beer shower last night. I found that it is allergic to beer. Now at repair shop. I am using my old laptop which often freezes up. There are no results through yet. If nothing is posted by me soon can someone please post the tipping results for this round.

Thanks

I just checked and they didn't seem to be updated

I changed this morning before i knew that.

I made two changes this week. Hope they don't backfire!

Swapped Freo for Hawks

Swapped GWS for Melb

I am an idiot

I am an idiot

I am an idiot

I'd give Chimpy a kick up the clacker for that BookMan.

Chimpy has turned decidedly nasty, playing all sorts of dirty games with the Tipping now. I am sure he is trying to get Chooka over the line to beat me.

This AFL tipping is absolute crap.what it is showing now is all over the place. If this is the way it works ,I don't want any part of it any more.

Sorry about that. It's just been corrected.

Don't worry about the mini rant mate. The tipping comp this year is pressure laden.

Congrats on your win thus week Ron.

Farmerjo out in front now. Catchable or nor?

Moving on to next week, there's some more toughies.

Starting on Friday night, Port against Carlton. Carlton

are in better nick than Port but it's in SA.

If anybody can pick the winner between North and Ade

with any certainty, you're a better man than I am (not

that that's hard).

GWS at home against a decimated Collingwood.

And then the big one, Hawks versus Geelong.

Can the Hawks bounce back and try and get

a top 2 finish?

Good luck Trend Setters.

This week I am not changing my tips. Pick them today and stay with them. Still can't believe what a goose I am. facepalm.gif

Adel V North: Without a doubt North will win that game KhunWill

Port v Carlton: Port have become horrible. They need a Freo like breakout game

GWS v Coll: GWS also having a lot of injuries. They started the season well, maybe they can finish well. Collingwood boys need to spend more time training and less time in the tattoo parlour.

Cats V Hawks. Another 100% win for the Hawks here. No doubt

Wonder if Paul Roos was the difference in so many picking the dees.

Form suggested they were not much of a chance against gws and proved correct.

That's a good call farmerjo.

To be honest, I hardly put any thought into that game.

Was looking at the WB/North and Freo/Hawks game

a bit much I reckon and just picked Melbourne cos it

was at home and because of Roosy.

Speaking of Melbourne and Roosy, the honeymoon

is well and truly over.

I would expect Alex to come on-line soon filled with venombiggrin.png

Yeah, b.loody Melbourne. I thought their defence and pressure would overwhelm an injury hit GWS.

Who are you tipping this week farmerjo?

Any players you would be happy for your club to trade the end of this year?

For me, it might be time Sydney let go of Butterfingers Sam Reid. He is on a rumoured 600k a year?? How long can Sydney persist with him without him stepping up? Sure he is young, 22 years , but he has played 65 games now. This year he has had a lot of opportunities to make his mark. Tippet and Buddy have taken the better defenders, and at times you have to wonder if the opposition even bothers having someone run with him.

When Sydney signed him for the longer term it made sense. No Buddy. No Tippet. Sydney had Mike Pyke and jetta kicking goals. Now Sydney also have Cunnngham, Membrey, Rohan, Jetta giving run and able to kick goals. (Rohan and Jetta were in the same 2009 draft as Reid).

Reid is much better played at centre half back area. He takes a better mark in defence than he does in the forward line but at $600k a year? I'd rather keep Malceski and give him more or trade Reid or free the salary for a good defender.

Reid might become a good player at another club but I don't think Sydney's style and plan suits him

Speaking of Sydney, I see Joey Kennedy's pulled up quite well apparently...

http://www.sydneyswans.com.au/news/2014-08-18/conservative-approach-for-joey

As for Butters, I think I mentioned this earlier, Reid should be shifted back and moulded into a defender, he would certainly fill the gap that Malceski and Shaw will leave and it certainly wouldn't be the first time Sydney's had a player drafted in as a forward played 1 or 2 or longer years up front and then been pushed back and succeeded. Leo Barry and Reg Grundy anyone. Pushing Butter's back also adds the element that he can push forward and kick a goal if needed. He also fills that LRT spot as well.

Keep him, push him back, job done.

Baaaaaaaaaaaa.......................i said it a few weeks ago half a dozen need to be sent packing and Frawley should be one of them, too many of the more mature players have the "loosing syndrome" and after sundays dismal effort Jamar can go too.

Now watching that crap doesnt it make you think....how flawed is tanking or finishing low down just to snare a early pic? Mind you, i think we will ask for a priority pic and i bet we get it.

The Dees will trade heavily not only players but 2cd and they way there playing could be 1st pick plus the priority pic that im positive were going to get.

Reid would probably do well for Melbourne. Frawley could do well in Sydney

It's heart breaking being an Eagles supporter.

One of the most talented teams in the competition player wise, but with a habit of throwing games away they should have wrapped up early. Several times they kicked scores like 1.8 in a quarter to throw away games. They have a full forward who can kick 11 straight one week and get only points the next few times out.

On Saturday they once again forgot how to kick goals after establishing a big lead. Home town umpiring didn't help either.

Currently 12th and likely to stay there when just one goal in the last quarter would have had them sitting 7th or 8th.

sheesh!

Dermie reckoned it was going to be a cricket score, Eagles were a shoe in for a 100 point win he opined :P

Indeed it is Old Croc.

One word for it....midfield.

In defence we're pretty good. Bunger Hurn and Eric McKenzie are in All Australian form

and have good support with Ellis and co.

Forward line has LeCras, Kennedy and Darling. All A graders really. Kennedy has been

disappointing but the delivery from our mids is at times atrocious.

Rucks..Nic Nat disappointing, especially for the money and Coxy has seen better days.

I've said it once and I will say it again, our midfield is probably in the worst 3 or 4 in the comp.

Love Matty Priddis but he's slower than me and can't kick over a jam tin. He would be a great

3rd or 4th midfielder but he has to be number 1 in our team.

Luke Shuey goes quiet at the mere mention of a tag. The last time Masten saw the bottom of

a pack was at the casino.

Wellingham has been a terribly disappointing recruit. And our number 1 pick from last year,

Sheed shows no promise. I'm not going to burn a kid but it was said at the pre-draft that he

lack pace. The last thing we need is another Priddis.

We need pace!!!

The selection officer Craig Vozzo needs to go.

Gee, Reid was in the right place at the right time to get that sort of money.

IMO, he's a $350 000 to $400 000 per year player. $600 000 is getting up

to the elite price. For that kind of money you want a forward who can take

a game by the scruff of the neck.

If he's going to be played down back, I reckon he'd have to take a huge pay cut.

It certainly will if they come with a 'winning guarantee'

Not sure about the guarantee,

But it will give everyone a chance to see how bold they want to tip this week.
