Does anyone know the current cost of the multiple entry visa from Brisbane, Australia. I wish my mother to get this visa, prior to transferring to the retirement visa.

Thanks

Look on their website, but the price of a multiple non-immigrant visa is 5,000 baht in local currency (against an unfavorable exchange rate, so add a few dollars more).

Yes, I paid $225 for my last one. I have had many from there and they are very helpful. It may be an idea for her to take some documentation showing bank balance or some financial backing with her in case they ask for it. Don't forget the photos, they will charge you $15 if you do.

At that price why not get an O-A visa, multiple entry, and she could stretch it out for 2 years by doing one border run before she had to apply for an extension of stay (based upon retirement)

On a multiple entry retirement visa, is there a restriction/deadline as to how long you can be away from Thailand? Is it 90 days because I assume you still have to ‘sign-in’ every 90 days? Hope my question is clear.

A multiple entry visa only allows for stays up to 90 days per entry unless you have an O/A visa. . No "sign in" is ever required unless one stays beyond the 90 days.

Stay away for as long as you wish but remember the visa has a time limit beyond which it is useless.
