A friend just showed me a far better apartment in a far more convenient location for a cheaper price than the one I just signed on. Right now I'm paying 100 THB a day just for transportation to/from work, even though I live close—I'm in a bad location logistically. The place my friend showed me yesterday is on a Soi I missed when I was apartment hunting.

The question is, how do I get out of my 3 month lease? I'd ideally like to transfer to the other property as soon as possible.

Should I make up a good story or even fake up some documentation? Or should I just tell them the truth and hope for the best?

I'm living at one of those guest house/hotel/apartment places, so they have a lot of turnover.

Anyone have any experience with this?

Thanks,

Jack Spade

If there is no break clause in the lease, legally you have to pay up the rest of the term or find someone acceptable to the landlord to take over rest of the lease. They may let you off the hook, if they are confident of getting a replacement but most will try to enforce the lease.
